Known for giving her celebrity clients a glowing radiance that seems to emanate from within, makeup artist Alison Raffaele created her own cosmetics line in 2000 with the aspiration of helping each and every woman become a beauty pro herself. Having an innate love affair with cosmetics, Alison has created the most indispensable makeup tools, (especially her can’t-live-without-it True Concealer), to help women discover and foster their inner artiste.

Creatively, Alison is recognized for her clean and elegant style, which is no doubt the result of her diligent studies as an Art History major at Fordham University in New York. Upon graduation, Alison’s instinctive skills and ultimate destiny collided when she was offered the position of head assistant to internationally celebrated makeup-artist Bobbi Brown in 1992. There, she quickly ascended, becoming Bobbi Brown’s first National Makeup Artist and International Trainer.

Over the next eight years, Alison thrived, while having tons of fun working with both print and television media, where she enhanced the already beautiful features of such famous faces as Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Phoebe Cates, Sigourney Weaver, and Giselle Bundchen. Celebrity fans of Alison’s cosmetics include Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Aisha Tyler, Rebecca Gayheart, Kirsten Dunst, Julia Styles, and Anna Paquin.

Though she flourished as a celebrity makeup artist, Alison promptly discovered that her true passion is to reach out to all women by providing makeup tips and beautiful, easy to master products, so that women everywhere can create their own "professional" look with confidence and ease.

Alison put her personal goals into motion to establish Alison Raffaele Cosmetics Inc. Based on only two core products, she launched her company with the now legendary True Concealer (she spent nine months developing and refining its must-have formula) and Transparent Finish setting powder. No pun intended, these basics represent the foundation of her driving ambition. Well on her road to success, Alison teamed up with her new husband, a brilliant packaging engineer, Glenn Tatem. His experience garnered at both Victoria Secret and Avon brought an added dimension to the brand and a new, more refined and elegant look to the products and packaging.

Alison’s collection has since blossomed to include foundations, mineral powder, gel blush, lip gloss, eye shadows, and brushes.

As a young teen, Alison used to peruse the cosmetics counters, testing and trying, dabbing and smudging the latest colors onto her hands and face. Having honed her skills as a makeup artist and more recently perfected her craft as a cosmetic developer, Alison continues to use her child-like wonder and passion for cosmetics to develop must-have makeup essentials, which are destined to become synonymous with flawless, yet effortless makeup around the world.
