The return of the fab ?80s on the catwalks? Irreverent and exhibitionist, with a marked preference for short, tight-fitting mini dresses, some gathered at the waist with wide belts (Armani and Krizia), others ultra-colourful and pop (Dolce & Gabbana). However she decides to appear, and to impress, the woman of the next Spring/Summer 2010 season will enjoy showing off her figure while following closely what will be the central mood of the season: the celebration of the fabulous 80s. The prevailing trend, in fact, will be characterised by an alchemy of brightly-coloured patterns and shocking colours, such as violet and turquoise, with a marked preference for optical designs and pop connotations. An atmosphere recalling the disco music of thirty years ago is brought to the catwalks by Just Cavalli with brightly-coloured short dresses alongside jackets and trousers in tight-fitting leather, concluding with an explicit reference to Madonna's 'Like a Virgin', with the bra worn on top or boldly displayed under transparent dresses and t-shirts. Also reminiscent of the ?80s is Versace's high-tech collection, in which plastic becomes a luxury material. The impact is sexy in pure Versace style; skirts are super-mini, backs are bare and heels are almost impossibly high. This is truly the season for women who refuse to go unnoticed.
