In 1988 the Blueberry Muffin became the official muffin of the State of Minnesota. This unlikely law came about through the good offices of the third grade social studies class of Carlton, Minnesota.

What started out as the question, “If there was a Minnesota State food what would it be?” clearly took on a life of its own.

We admit, however, that Minnesota was not our inspiration. Instead, we simply sought out the perfect Blueberry Muffin, and when we found it, we knew it.
