While no fruit is more closely identified with the tropics in general, and Hawaii in particular, than the pineapple, it is not native to Hawaii. Rather, the pineapple was introduced from Spain in 1813.

It was James Dole, the founder of Dole Food Company (originally called the Hawaiian Pineapple Company) who grew the pineapple business into Hawaii's second largest industry. In achieving his goal of making pineapple available in every grocery store in the country, James Dole made the name "Hawaiian" almost synonymous with "Pineapple."

Our Blue Hawaiian is a combination of light rum, Blue Curacao, and critically, fresh pineapple juice. Our Blue Hawaiian is so bursting with flavor and fragrance that you will swear it was squeezed from a ripe fruit picked moments earlier.
